Biking around the world: Sept. 24 fundraiser for the Bicycle Alliance

World Traveler to Stage Benefit Show Sept. 24, 7 p.m.

Globe-trotting cyclist Willie Weir will present his blend of anecdotes, observations and photographs in a benefit show for the Bicycle Alliance of Washington as part of its campaign to open an office in Eastern Washington. BAW provided great support for BTW Week last year, and will do so again in 2009.

The event will be held Wednesday, Sept. 24, at the Riverpoint Campus in the South Campus Facility, 410 E. Spokane Falls Blvd. Tickets are $10 in advance from North Division Bike Shop, or from BAW, www.bicyclealliance.org, (206) 224-9252 Ext 303; $12 at the door.

A bike corral will be available for free; STA route 29 serves the Riverpoint Campus; vehicles will need a parking permit (cash only at the “Pay & Display” lot west of this building).
