Become a Bicycle Benefits merchant:

Define a discount or reward that you will offer to customers who come in with Bicycle Benefit stickers on their bike helmets.

  • You may limit the discount/reward to select days, times, required mínimum purchase - whatever you want to define.
  • We suggest something in the neighborhood of 10% off the purchase price, or a small free ítem when a larger ítem is purchased.
Sign up with Bike To Work Spokane Helmet stickers are now free so just contact us to get some to distribute: bicyclebenefits@biketoworkspokane.org, 509.844.3343

Display the Bicycle Benefits storefront window decal and small countertop sign to attract cycling customers.

We promote your participation, and cyclists come in to buy. It’s that simple.

The helmet sticker serves as a cyclist’s commitment to decreasing congestion and parking demand, supporting local businesses, and improving air quality and personal health.

The storefront window decal is your drawing card to bring in:

  • an increased customer base and loyalty
  • revenue from Bicycle Benefit helmet sticker sales
  • free online advertising in a nationwide directory
  • extensive local publicity.

Why would you participate? A recent study in Toronto found that patrons arriving by foot and bicycle visit the most often and spend the most money per month. Bike consumers and local businesses have the foundation for a lasting relationship.

Bike to Work Spokane launched the Bicycle Benefits program in Spokane, the first Washington city to participate in this nationwide program. We're giving a sticker to all registered participants in Bike to Work Week, so an estimated 1,200 or more potential customers will receive multiple direct emails identifying you as a BB participant and drawing them to our Web site where they'll find links to your business.

To sign up as a participating business, contact local Bicycle Benefits organizer Kristen Silver, bicyclebenefits@biketoworkspokane.org, 509.844.3343

BTW Spokane is comprised of bicyclists who generally would rather bike than drive for almost any reason. Please join us in our quest to make bicycle commuting a more attractive transportation alternative as a contribution to making Spokane a better place to live, work and play.
